About the company

The Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2010 to support people and businesses through all phases of the entrepreneurial lifecycle. We connect entrepreneurs with critical resources to create, launch and grow businesses. This includes our coworking space, programs, events, mentorship, and entrepreneurial community. We are seeking a full-time Office Manager and Bookkeeper to join our Nashville-based team.

The EC is committed to leveling the playing field to make Nashville the best place for any entrepreneur to start and grow a business. Our Twende accelerator program supports these efforts by helping black and brown founders grow and scale their businesses. The EC is seeking a Program Manager who is a dynamic, highly organized, and people driven leader to support the next phase of growth for the Twende program.

Summary

As the Program Manager for Twende, you will report directly to the AVP of Programs, work collaboratively with Program Leaders, and be responsible for managing project timelines, program execution, and communication with stakeholders. In a typical day, you may answer questions from founders across the state, communicate with statewide network partners, update the EC team on Twende’s expansion timeline, book speakers for future events, run operations for a guest lecture, and coordinate the matching of entrepreneurs with advisors. In collaboration with Program Leaders, the individual in this role will work to ensure Twende is financially sustainable and a best-in-class, state-wide program. Success measures for this role include:

  • NPS from Program Participants that meets or exceeds goals
  • Earned revenue from Program Participants that meets or exceeds goals
  • Collaboration to secure contributed revenue from Program Partners/Sponsors that meets or exceeds goals
  • % Program Participants that achieve program goals (i.e., revenue goals, team growth, new client or investor, quality pitch and deck, or advisory board addition, etc.)

Responsibilities

Program Recruiting, Selection, and Onboarding

  • Partner with Marketing Team to execute statewide recruiting plan and expand the candidate pipeline, including collaboration with network partners and info meetings with candidates
  • Lead selection process in collaboration with Selection Committee to ensure a diverse cohort of participants
  • Coordinate program onboarding and collaborate with Program Leaders to prepare onboarding materials and announce/promote the new cohort

Program Delivery & Engagement

  • Collaborate with Program Leaders and Coaches to connect founders to helpful resources, identify participant needs, and ensure program design addresses those needs
  • Coordinate planning meetings and manage session agendas, calendar invitations, speaker confirmation, meeting documentation, and supporting materials
  • Coordinate with network partners to expand statewide program reach and impact
  • Be first point of contact for program participants needing support or help accessing EC resources
  • Create and share key communications to program participants, such as newsletter and session reminders/follow-ups, and identify opportunities to support participant engagement
  • Collaborate with EC Development and Marketing teams to execute on program sponsorship opportunities and support the EC brand

Program Planning & Reporting

  • Manage and execute on program strategy, goals, timeline, and calendar
  • Manage and track founder metrics and feedback to assess progress toward program goals and fulfill grant data requirements
  • Support management of program participant contracts, manage founder payments, and monitor program budget as needed

Other qualifications

  • 3-5 years professional experience, nonprofit or startup experience a plus
  • Proven organizational skills, punctual with an attention to detail
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills across various stakeholder groups
  • Ability to influence team and stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven experience in project and/or program management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Workspace applications
  • Preferred, but not required skills:
    • Experience leading others
    • Experience in the entrepreneurial ecosystem
    • Experience with both virtual and in-person professional engagements
