Describe yourself in one word:

Why are you interested in entrepreneurship?

My favorite thing about being an entrepreneur is that I get to spend my days making my dreams and creative ideas come true.

If you could meet any entrepreneur, who would it be?

Berry Gordy

What is your favorite aspect of the EC?

The EC staff is my favorite thing at the EC. They are really committed to helping us and to making sure the EC really serves its members well. They are open, committed, and responsive. I love it.

What advice would you give to someone seeking to create, launch, or grow a business?

Take the leap and take it NOW. Do not wait until you are not afraid, that’s what courage is for. Be afraid and do it anyway. Make a move now.

How do you balance the entrepreneurial lifestyle?

Balance? What’s that? Just kidding. Finding balance as an entrepreneur is difficult but I start with making sure I am doing something that I love and that I build a team of people I love, trust, grow with and learn from so that when I am working too much, it’s not as taxing as it would be if my work made me miserable. On the days when its impossible to get away, taking 10 minutes to walk outside or sit for a meditation or a silent moment gives me a powerful reset that allows me to move forward powerfully. Ideally, balance happens when you have good systems, good boundaries and a great team in place. ALSO AND MOST IMPORTANTLY…learn quickly that you can not do this alone, that you don’t have to have your hands in every little thing and that your company is most successful when you are healthy, rested, and clear minded.
