Drew Hart Speaks on the Freedom of Entrepreneurship & More

September 13, 2016 / Share:

Drew Hart is the founder of Inflammo, a company that provides end-to-end accounting and finance solutions to growing companies through an all-in-one finance platform. In this week’s Member Spotlight, Drew talks living in the moment and the freedom that entrepreneurship gives him.

Describe yourself in one word.

Loyal.

Why are you interested in entrepreneurship?

I love that the path of entrepreneurship allows you to take full ownership of both the life you want to create and the impact you want to have along the way. We all have a whiteboard in front of us – and there is nothing that allows for quite the autonomy of populating that whiteboard like being an entrepreneur.

If you could meet any entrepreneur, who would it be?

Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O’Leary.

What is your favorite aspect of the EC?

There is diversity of community – yet it’s one that is uniquely bonded by a commonality to not be satisfied by our own status quo’s in life. We all have a desire to be more, give more, do more – and the energy around that is refreshing. All of this of course being followed by a close second – the chocolate chip cookies at Little Mosko’s.

What advice would you give to someone seeking to create, launch, or grow a business?

Take time to enjoy the “now” of it all. We get so consumed and worried about the events of tomorrow that we fail to focus on the successes of today. Entrepreneurship is a journey and the grind is real – and I can tell you with certainty that the losses have an uncanny ability to carry more weight than the wins. Be intentional about celebrating those wins; be intentional about enjoying the process.

How do you balance the entrepreneurial lifestyle?

Those closest to me would probably say not very well. But i’m truly blessed – I love what we’re building at Inflammo as well as the team I get to build it with, from both a colleague and client perspective. And at the end of the day I get to be Daddy to my three little girls – so either a good day or bad day in the office it’s tough to complain.
