Entrepreneur-matching event set Oct. 15 in Nashville

CoFoundersLab, an online matching site for entrepreneurs, is expanding to Nashville, helping those seeking to launch companies build or join a startup team.

Finding a co-founder can be one of the most critical parts of building a company and also the most difficult. That challenge is the catalyst behind Rockville, Md.-based CoFoundersLab, a startup created tohelp others create startups, according to the site’s community development vice president, Michael Hughes. The service is targeted at those with an idea in search of a partner, as well as those who want to help someone else build their idea into a company.

While some company founders met in college, such as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin, many choose to start companies later in life and may not have the organic kinds of networks that a school setting provides, Hughes said.
