Steve Case, the billionaire co-founder of America Online, will spend a day next month with Nashville’s business community.
“He recognizes Nashville as one of the top four or five entrepreneur hubs in the nation,” said Michael Burcham, president and CEO of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. Burcham announced Case’s visit Wednesday while hosting a Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce event.
Today, Case is CEO and chairman of Revolution, an investment fund that he co-founded nine years ago in Washington, D.C.
Case and his wife, Jean, seem to be growing more and more familiar with Nashville. For example, last month, Steve Case a $100,000 equity investment in local startup InvisionHeart. Burcham also spearheads Startup Tennessee, the state’s version of the Startup America Partnership, of which Steve Case was the founding chairman.
Burcham noted that Case’s June visit will coincide with the one-year anniversary of the Entrepreneur Center moving to its current home, a renovated trolley barn at 41 Peabody St., the same area where Pinewood Social is located (in another renovated trolley barn).
More details are expected to be released soon.
