BULLPEN VENTURES EYES PROJECT MUSIC FOR INVESTMENT

Project Music, the country’s only music and technology business accelerator, operating in partnership with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) and the Country Music Association (CMA), is gaining attention from local investment group, Bullpen Ventures.

Bullpen Ventures has committed to making an investment offer of up to $100,000 to one team following the 2015 Startup Showcase. Project Music teams will present their ideas to investors live on stage on April 23rd, 2015 at the CMA Theatre in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

“We are excited about the Project Music cohort and look forward to following their progress over the next several weeks. This is a unique opportunity that aligns with our investment strategy which is to support the Nashville Entrepreneur Center and the successful entrepreneur ecosystem that exists in this community,” says Mark Montgomery, who leads the music specific investment committee at Bullpen.

Bullpen Ventures was started in February of 2011 by Stuart McWhorter and John Ingram to help entrepreneurs grow fresh ideas into thriving businesses. Shortly after launching the partnership, Bullpen Ventures was joined by three new investors Steve Turner, Joe Galante, and Mark Montgomery. Operating out of the EC, Bullpen Ventures gives entrepreneurs the ability to launch the company they have always dreamed of with access to seed capital, the ability to develop a working prototype and an investable story in an environment that is rich with entrepreneurial resources.

Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from any successful Bullpen endeavor go to help sustain the Center, as a way to show its commitment to the EC. Currently, Bullpen Ventures has invested in EC graduates e-clinic healthcare, Populr and Ballparc.
