Going for Gold at Pitch for Good: Tennessee Tough

October 29, 2020 / Share:

We’ve teamed up with the Tennessee Titans to identify and honor Nashville’s top entrepreneurs and small businesses! Pitch for Good: Tennessee Tough, presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners, will bring together leaders in local entrepreneurship and allow them to compete for the opportunity to become a Titans team sponsor in 2021.

“The Titans and Pinnacle share a strong, common belief that small businesses and entrepreneurs are a crucial piece of the backbone of Nashville and Middle Tennessee,” said Titans Sr. Vice President, Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Gil Beverly. “We’re proud to partner with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center to support and amplify these creative efforts as they get off the ground.”

Modeled on the successful Pitch for Good: Pandemic Edition held in May, we created this monthly pitch event series to celebrate entrepreneurs making a difference in their communities through December. Each event highlights a specific industry, business type or group of entrepreneurs:

  • May 12: Pitch for Good: Pandemic Edition

  • July 24: Pitch for Good: Black Founders Edition

  • August 20: Pitch for Good: Women Founders Edition

  • September 23: Pitch for Good: Data/AI Edition

  • October 22: Pitch for Good: Music and Entertainment Edition

  • November 19: Pitch for Good: Healthcare Edition

  • December 17: Pitch for Good: Nashville Edition

Winners from each Pitch for Good event will be invited to a playoff-like setting in this new Pitch for Good: Tennessee Tough edition. The winning entrepreneur will become a Titans sponsor for a year, receiving a package of media and hospitality rights to promote their business on an NFL stage.

Contestants will go head-to-head in two semifinal events on Jan. 7 and 14, with the championship event taking place Monday, Jan. 25.

“It’s challenging to be an entrepreneur in the best of times, so it’s more important than ever to shine a light on entrepreneurs and small businesses during this pandemic, said NEC’s CEO Jane Allen. “We are grateful to join forces with powerhouse businesses like the Titans and Pinnacle for our entrepreneurs to reach a broader audience.”

Pinnacle Financial Partners, a shared partner between the Titans and NEC, will sponsor the competition, and we are so grateful for their on-going commitment to supporting local small businesses.

Pitch for Good: Healthcare Edition is up next and will take place on November 19. Details on how to apply and requirements for entry can be found at https://www.ec.co/pitch-for-good.
