Improving life for doctors and patients at Pitch for Good: Healthcare Edition
November 19, 2020 / Share:

“If you try to drive a car without gas, it’s not going to work. It’s the same if you try to drive healthcare without doctors and nurses,” said Brian Forrester, founder and CEO of Midas Health.
From physical products that help people recover faster, and be treated more safely, to an on-demand service that brings care to the patient, the six entrepreneurs who pitched at today’s Pitch for Good: Healthcare edition are saving lives one innovation at a time.
Our panel of three judges selected the best of the best in two categories: the “Launch Stage,”which includes businesses that are just getting off the ground with little to no revenue, and the “Up and Running Stage” for businesses making over $25K per year.
This panel included some of Nashville’s healthcare heavy-hitters, like:
-
Dee Anna Smith – CEO at Sarah Cannon
-
James E.K. Hildreth, Ph.D, M.D. – CEO at Meharry Medical College
-
Kathy Harris – EVP, Corporate Development at Sharecare
Two category winners walked away with financial grants for their business, and one crowd favorite was selected by the live audience to win an NEC program scholarship.
Launch
-
Luke Benda – Healing Innovations
-
Spencer Jones – Lineus Medical (Launch Winner)

Up and Running
