Jason Denenberg: Entrepreneur and Occasional College Football Fan

Jason Denenberg is the founder of NourishWise, a website providing nutritional information on your favorite Nashville restaurants. Read on to find out how he spends an occasional Saturday when he’s burned out from work – and what exactly is The Beehive Feature?
DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN ONE WORD:
Passionate.
IF YOU COULD MEET ANY ENTREPRENEUR, WHO WOULD IT BE?
Ron Dyrdek -so altruistic in what he does. He balances business and the focus on profit behind the scenes while having fun and leveraging passion on the front end. He started with a passionate foundation and built on that the way he likes, instead of following money – and he is good at it!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF THE EC?
THE BEEHIVE FEATURE. You can meet great founders, corporate investors-all which move your business and knowledge in an exponential way when done appropriately.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE SEEKING TO CREATE, LAUNCH, OR GROW A BUSINESS?
You really have to start with “Why are you interested?” Both why are you interested in starting your own business and company – and why are you choosing a particular focus/sector?
HOW DO YOU BALANCE AN ENTREPRENEURIAL LIFESTYLE?
Leverage time management as best as I can. My wife and I have date night every Wednesday, no phone and no computers. Right in the middle of the week. Also, if I’m at 50%, I’m not working well, therefore not producing well. You should take that Saturday and watch college football all day and not beat yourself up over it.
