June 5, 2015 / Share:

After volunteering with the EC for a little over a year through local podcasting in Nashville, I’m excited to say that earlier this week I joined the EC team to produce a weekly podcast titled: “The Nashville Entrepreneurship Story, as told by the EC, Music City’s Front Door to Entrepreneurship.” For short, you can call it our EC Podcast. As you’re listening to our first episode, please think about feedback on our new show. You can email me clark.buckner@ec.co or tweet me @ClarkBuckner. I am creating this for you and the wonderful community we get to call home. It’s my wish that this content can also be a resource for anyone around the world as to what’s happening in our unique entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In 20 minutes or less, our EC podcast is designed to share weekly updates and a general narrative into what’s happening here at the EC. You can listen and/or download directly on Soundcloud or stream it below.

The first interview highlights Pre-Flight Alumni and Jumpstart Foundry GraduateAshley Parkes, who’s also the Founder of Aloncii, about her winningComcast’s I4E Award.

The Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce visited us this week to tour the EC and learn more about our community.

This week the America’s Health Insurance Plans Annual Meeting was held in Nashville. The EC hosted the “START IT UP! A TASTE OF HEALTHCARE ENTREPRENEURSHIP,” and during the event I spoke with two representatives. Cambia Health was awarded GeekWire Awards 2015: Newcomer of the Year.

Ricky Robinette, one of the national directors of Startup Bus in North America, was a guest on the show to share how Nashville is this year’s destination for five buses loaded with entrepreneurs.

What’s coming up next at the EC? Next week is 36|86, “a celebration of the Southeast’s southern culture, technology and entrepreneurship,” to be held June 8-10, 2015 at Marathon Music Works. Follow along with the conference on Twitter @3686South.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. With this being my first week, I’m pulling together our artwork and other assets for the show. Stay tuned in the next weeks, and please consider sharing feedback of how you would like this show to be crafted.
