Corey Scurlock, MD, MBA is an Intensive Care Specialist and the CEO and founder of Equum Medical, an Acute Care telehealth company. Dr. Scurlock has grown Equum from its original hospital to over 50 health systems, hospitals and post-acute facilities with 100% client retention over 12 years. Prior to Equum, he served as Medical Director of eHealth at New York Medical College where he introduced multiple acute care telehealth programs with the eICU Program achieving highest ranking in quality in the nation for 3 years in a row.  Prior to becoming involved in telemedicine, he was the director of the CVICU at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan.

Dr. Scurlock graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a degree in Chemistry.  He completed his Medical School education at the University of Texas and an Anesthesiology Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, in which he was elected Chief Resident followed by a Critical Care Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. In 2010, he completed an MBA from the Johnson Business School at Cornell. He is the author of over 70 peer-reviewed publications.
