Anderson Spickard, MD

Dr. Spickard is interim dean and assistant to the president at the Frist College of Medicine at Belmont University. Prior to joining Belmont, he served as professor of medicine and assistant dean of education design and informatics at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Spickard led the team that built and managed the tightly integrated IT infrastructure that delivers curriculum content and capture performance data in the workflow of learning to inform trainee and programmatic success at the Vanderbilt School of Medicine. He has practiced internal medicine for 27 years and has served in multiple education leadership roles of medical students and residents, including training medical students in the use of telehealth at Vanderbilt when the COVID outbreak began.
