Ryan Starnes

Ryan Starnes, MSHA, MBA is the Senior Director, Hospital at Home and Hospital Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  Ryan has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University and Masters in Healthcare Administration and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  He completed his administrative fellowship at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he subsequently spent 4 years managing perioperative and anesthesia operations for Ochsner’s flagship medical center.  Ryan joined Vanderbilt in 2018 as a program manager for the adult hospital senior leadership team, and has been in his role with the Hospital at Home department since January 2022.  Ryan enjoys applying his engineering background to healthcare operations focusing on novel and innovative modes of care and enabling caregivers to concentrate on high quality patient care.
