“A Health & Human Services report detailed a 63-fold increase in the use of telehealth by Medicare beneficiaries, from 840,000 annual encounters in 2019 to approximately 52.7 million encounters in 2020. Two years later we continue to see telehealth solutions contribute significantly to the healthcare industry. It’s clear that telehealth is not a Covid novelty.”
– Eric Thrailkill, Chairman Project Healthcare
Over the last two-plus years, the pandemic disrupted the world and impacted our personal experiences in many ways. The healthcare industry took center stage at the onset of the pandemic–and continues to be front and center–addressing health, wellness, and economic challenges.
More than ever, healthcare leaders are implementing technology-enabled solutions, addressing workforce challenges, and seeking innovations to address access, equity, cost and consumer experiences.
Now is the time to reimagine and rebuild an industry together – including leaders in provider organizations and clinicians from around the country, as well as solution providers, payers, employers, investors, and early stage companies. The Telehealth Academy II (TA II) was of particular interest to those who appreciate the impact of the Nashville-based healthcare expertise on care delivery – across the country and internationally.
The Telehealth Academy II was an opportunity to learn about major advances in virtual care, including telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and care in the home. Attendees joined us in Nashville to explore the transition from emergency implementation to strategy integration of new models of care delivery in an ecosystem known for innovation of facility-based care.
